Endeavors at environmental protection are
reflected in all the projects designed and/or implemented
by ECEC in strict compliances with the latest national policy.
Effective measures and up-to-date applicable technologies
are carefully taken and selected by ECEC for the treatment
of gaseous effluents, waste water and solid wastes which are
unavoidably concomitant in most industrial plants.
ECEC has set foot in environmental protection
area since 1960s. In 1963, China National Chemical Water Supply
& Sewerage Design and Technology Center and Water Supply
and Drainage Committee of Civil Engineering Association are
all affiliated with ECEC. In 1977, ECEC's own Water Treatment
Research Institute was established. In 1988, Hefei Industrial
Water Treatment Engineering Company of China National Chemical
Engineering Corporation was established, and developed to
the Environmental Protection Branch of ECEC at the end of
1996 with a team of expertise from a diverse disciplines such
as chemical engineering, environment engineering, water supply
& sewerage engineering, microbiology, biochemical, environment
monitoring, etc. With more than 60 specialists and engineers
directly dealing with the area, ECEC can provide a wide range
of services in the field of environmental protection including
testing & research, preliminary study, engineering, equipment
supply, technical service and turnkey project contracting
services. During the past decades, ECEC has accomplished more
than 100 testing & research tasks and 60 major environmental
protection projects covering industrial waste water treatment,
municipal waste water treatment, air pollution control, rubbish
treatment and circulation water, etc. At the field of complex
and large-scale industrial waste water treatment, ECEC firmly
takes a leading position in all over China.
ECEC always attaches great importance to
the development of environmental technology, and solved a
lot of difficult problems first time in the country including
high salt-containing waste water treatment, calcium-containing
waste water treatment, PTA waste water treatment, vinyl cyanide
waste water treatment and nitrilon waste water treatment.
ECEC has also developed an aerobic treatment process and A/O
treatment process for high organic-containing waste water.
Furthermore, ECEC owns several patents and proprietary technologies
in the field of waste water treatment.
ECEC also spares no efforts in the area of
urban pollution control. ECEC actively involves itself in
the comprehensive pollution control for some famous Chinese
rivers and lakes such as Yangtze River, Huaihe River, Tai
Lake, Chao Lake, and Dianchi Lake. A 100,000m3/d municipal
waste water treatment plant initiated and implemented by ECEC,
has been set as a model plant by State Environmental Protection
Administration of China and introduced to other Chinese cities.
Besides, ECEC pays close attention to the international trend
of new processes and new materials for pollution control,
and actively applies these up-to-date technologies in the
control of acid rain, municipal waste water and rubbish in
an effort to make our best contribution to China¡¯s ¡°Clean
Water and Blue Sky ¡± project.

Treatment process: Pre-treatment + Denitrogenation
process. Sludge was removed by mechanical concentration &
dehydration process.
Features of the process: Oxidation ditch process with pre-positive
anaerobic tank and brush aerators is used, and key part of
the process is circle oxidation ditch with six channels. When
mixed flow passes through the oxidation ditch, the flow goes
through aerobic section and anaerobic section separately by
means of arrangement of brush aerator in the channel, and
eventually, clean water was obtained.
